Describe the difficulty without judging yourself

Adults often arrive with a broad concern that they should already know more. A more useful starting point is the exact task: recognising marks, joining words, following an unfamiliar line, or producing a particular sound. Naming the difficulty gives the teacher something concrete to address.

Previous study still matters even after a long break. Explain what remains comfortable and what needs support. You may need a targeted refresher rather than a complete restart, or a foundation course if the script is unfamiliar. The decision should come from current reading rather than embarrassment or an advanced-sounding course label.

Choose a goal you can recognise in practice

A useful first goal could be reading a short passage with fewer prompts or applying one correction more consistently. Keep the amount manageable enough that you can return to it between lessons. A general intention to improve everything can make progress difficult to notice.

The course pathways separate foundation reading, connected recitation, Tajweed, translation, Islamic Studies, and memorization. Each involves a different task. Discuss which one matters most now and what background skill it assumes, especially if you want to combine understanding and recitation.

Make private sessions fit an ordinary working week

Standard private lessons last 30 minutes and can be discussed across regular or weekend plans. Consider the review time as well as the live session. A frequent schedule is most useful when the corrections can be revisited rather than left until the next class.

If your work pattern changes, describe it early and ask what availability can be confirmed. Keep the appointment in your local time and maintain a small review task for demanding weeks. The plan should be sustainable through ordinary responsibilities, not only during a brief quiet period.

Ask questions that improve the next attempt

If a correction is unclear, request a shorter example or another explanation. The aim is to understand what to change and then try it in context. Accurate repetition can help once the target is understood; repeating uncertainty is less useful.

For meaning-based study, ask which reference and scope are being used. Translation and detailed interpretation are not identical. For specialist recitation goals, request verified information about the relevant teacher qualification. A private lesson should give room to clarify the learning need.

Use introductory classes to establish the arrangement

LQA offers three separate introductory trial sessions, scheduled by agreement. Use the opportunity to discuss your level, course, explanation language, and preferred routine. Ask what the regular practice task would involve and how progress can be reviewed.

If you continue, confirm the available teacher, selected days, local time, and monthly fee. Standard plans cover the listed 30-minute courses. Hifz uses 45-minute sessions with a separate quote, so do not assume a standard reading fee includes a memorization arrangement.

Include household members without sharing your lesson

Parents and children from the same eligible household can choose different qualifying plans and still be considered for family savings. Each learner receives a private class. This allows an adult beginner and a child studying a different topic to keep individual goals.

Use the calculator to see the proposed fees and then confirm paid-enrolment eligibility with the academy. Trial-only learners do not count towards the tier. If the household changes, the discount is reviewed from the next billing cycle rather than retroactively altering earlier bills.

Frequently asked questions

Can an adult start Noorani Qaida without previous Arabic study?

Adults can start Noorani Qaida without previous Arabic study. A foundation course can begin with script recognition and sound. Ask for explanations in a language you understand and a pace that lets you practise the task independently. The resource teaches a skill, not an age category.

What if I only need to refresh a few reading features?

Describe those features and ask for a starting review. A targeted refresher may be more appropriate than repeating an entire course. The teacher can help identify whether the obstacle is recognition, pronunciation, or connected reading.

Can an adult choose weekend-only Quran lessons?

Adults can request weekend-only Quran lessons under the available weekend plans. The weekend plans offer one selected weekend day or both Saturday and Sunday, subject to availability. Confirm the local time and course. The monthly billing basis remains per student per calendar month.

Are adult Hifz lessons the same duration as standard classes?

Adult Hifz uses 45-minute sessions rather than the standard 30-minute duration. Hifz sessions are 45 minutes and need a separate quote until their prices are configured. Discuss the revision demand and intended frequency alongside the fee so the arrangement matches the learning goal.

Can a parent and child on different courses receive family savings?

Yes, if both meet the stated household and linked active paid-enrolment rules and choose eligible plans. Each student keeps a private class and individual learning task. The calculator provides an estimate until eligibility is verified.

How can I avoid losing motivation when progress feels slow?

Track a specific skill that needs less prompting or holds more reliably in a changed example. Review the goal with the teacher if the same obstacle persists. Smaller observable improvements can show useful progress that a page count misses.

How can an adult describe a long gap in Quran study without embarrassment?

Describe the tasks that feel comfortable now and where support is needed after the gap. A useful starting plan depends on current skills, not on judging how long the break lasted. Read the related guide.

What practice routine suits an adult with little uninterrupted time?

A short repeatable review task can suit an adult with limited uninterrupted time. Discuss the realistic window so the live-lesson frequency and home practice support one another. Read the related guide.

How can an adult ask for slower explanation during a lesson?

State which instruction or correction was difficult to follow and request another demonstration. Clear feedback gives the teacher a practical way to adjust the pace. Read the related guide.

What should an adult do if work shifts change the agreed schedule?

Share the changed shift pattern and ask which alternatives are available. A work change does not automatically alter attendance terms or reserve a new teaching slot. Read the related guide.
